Finding what the screen resolution is at is fine, but what about textures such as splash screens, background textures, and maybe even cutscenes (I'm not exactly sure how resolution works with those) that are created to a specific screen resolution?
Are games just shipped with all the different screen resolutions resources available and then switch out once the current displays screen resolution is determined?
