Please, please, please drop the VC6 stuff, it's ancient history . Nobody who is serious about game dev will be using it.

We never actually HAD a working version on VC6...and beleive me I'd rather drop it altogether.
But (isn't there always a but) there are a lot of students and hobbiests out there that can't afford VC.NET. The web poll shows 25% of the people voting still use VC6.Mr.Mike

Is there a guesstimate release date for 1.1? If so, mrmike, are you willing to share it with us?

Cool.. I hope he will share from what he learned.. -
I'm going to put it up this weekend.
I've been in Washington DC for the last week on business, so I didn't want to put it up and then disappear!Mr.Mike

I would like to inform everybody do not run UpdateRelease.bat thats in the GameCode2 current link of the front-page. If you give it the path for the game code for one of the parameters, it deletes the everything in the directory that's given. Also, it would delete everything if you give it the path of the parent directory of the game code. Please do not tried this were you have important files below and above of the game code directory. For any files for that matter.
The code for this batch file is the same as in the book. I'm reviewing the code to see what's going on. I want to make sure that the batch file in the new release will be corrected.
Is a good thing that ran this under my temp directory. I lost a lot of downloads, but I can recover from it.
I might have used this batch file incorrectly but it just shouldn't deleted everything. The post was edited 4 times, last by EnriqueH73 ().

I do not see how this batch file is able to do delete everything when is given the wrong path. The parameters that were given for delete command only had wildcards with specific prefixes. General wildcard is not being used in the parameters.
I think I need another set of eyes to go over for this batch file.
