I just bought your book yesterday and I am thoroughly enjoying it. There are quite a few terms i'm not familiar with and I can't quite find definitions :(. Do you know of any site with terminology dealing with game programming?

Tell you what - if you run across a term that isn't obvious, post them right here and I'll make up some good definitions.

I have another question... I've done a lot of C++ programming in my college courses but i have yet to learn about windows programming...most C++ college courses in VA schools lean towards Linux/Unix programming. Any good sites i can find Windows Programming Help?

Anyway, my teasing out of the way... winprog.org/tutorial/
It's a pretty damn good Windows programming tutorial that will get you started very fast. Windows programming can seem daunting at first, but after you learn the template (this page ) once, Win32 programming becomes very simple. You no longer see that heap of code, but instead just blocks that work together to achieve something bigger and you instantly know how to use each of them.
You'll also need the Win32 reference manual that came with your compiler, or you can just download this one... borland.com/devsupport/borlandcpp/patches/BC52HLP1.ZIP
One last thing, when you know the template well, you may want to clean it up a little for bigger projects, I really like this tutorial... Creating Windows Programs in C++ -- InfrastructureThe post was edited 1 time, last by Gerry ().
